K Zizkovu is a series of nocturnal paintings depicting an industrial neighborhood in the outskirts of Prague. This is where most local artists have their studios these days. I think it can be called a community by now. You would find my studio there as well.

I have been repeatedly struck by the quiet evening atmosphere of the otherwise loud and busy place. Usually the only noise that interrupts the silence is buzzing of a broken streetlamp.

I painted these paintings directly on location using an artificial light.
