I thought the storm had passed. But I had never been so wrong. As soon as I started painting, the craziest cloudburst started. A road a dozen of meters away from from me turned into a muddy river. It was thundering above my head as if there were some monsters battling each other. I must had been crazy – to be standing there with a metal tripod in the middle of the storm trying to paint in it. But hey! These are the things I go to outdoors for!

Those parts of the painting that were painted as if with a dry brush are what I did during the heaviest rain. Oil paints did not want to stick to the wet canvas.
