Rocks above Maly Staw

Oil on canvas

For many years I only observed the glacial lakes on the Polish side of the Giant Mountains from afar. I never had enough time to walk down to them. This year I finally made it. It was on a hot summer day. Dragging all the painting gear and plenty of water along the tops of KrkonoŇ°e (Giant) Mountains was exhausting. Crowds of friendly Poles (who apparently love this mountain range far more than Czechs) too.
Still, I painted at a spot not far from the lake. And it turned out quite good.
