For many years I only observed the glacial lakes on the Polish side of the Giant Mountains from afar. I never had enough time to walk down to them. This year I finally made it. It was on a hot summer day. Dragging all the painting gear and plenty of water along the tops of Krkonoše (Giant) Mountains was exhausting. Crowds of friendly Poles (who apparently love this mountain range far more than Czechs) too.

Still, I painted at a spot not far from the lake. And it turned out quite good.
