I knew I had to do this one fast, because it started snowing by the time I set up my easel. The tricky thing with snow is that it mixes with paints and makes a crunchy paste of them. A little is fine, but there is a point when there is too much and they become impossible to work with. In these conditions, you have to make every stroke count.
